    Head, Business Development

    • As Head, Business Development, you will provide strategic leadership for business development initiatives focused on expanding bilateral power agreements, acquiring Maximum Demand (MD) customers, and creating new electricity and non-electricity revenue streams. You will drive innovation, build strategic partnerships, and leverage market intelligence and technology to accelerate sustainable business growth in line with Ikeja Electric's strategic objectives.

    You’ll contribute to:

    • Develop and implement business growth strategies for bilateral, embedded, and off-grid energy solutions.
    • Drive customer acquisition and expand high-value commercial relationships.
    • Lead negotiations for bilateral agreements, partnerships, and alternative energy projects.
    • Develop innovative energy solutions, pricing models, and bundled service offerings.
    • Monitor revenue growth, market share, customer retention, and business performance KPIs.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
    • Build strategic partnerships with IPPs, regulators, government, and private sector stakeholders.

    • Proficiency in CRM, analytics platforms, and EMS/SCADA systems.

    Minimum Requirement

    • This opportunity is a Senior Management role.
    • Your role will directly drive revenue growth, strategic partnerships, customer acquisition, and business expansion across Ikeja Electric. This role directly reports to the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer. Successful applicants will typically possess the following criteria:

    Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc. or HND) in Marketing, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • An MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

    Work Experience:

    • A minimum of 10–15 years of relevant business development experience, preferably within the power, energy, utilities, infrastructure, or telecommunications sectors.
    • Demonstrated experience in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), embedded generation, customer acquisition strategies, and leading complex commercial negotiations is required.
