    Head Business Development and Relationship Manager

    Job Description

    • Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will have primary responsibility for championing the Organisation's relationship management and customer service strategy, implementing initiatives towards enhancing market position and growthInherent in this will be to develop strategies and coordinate activities to ensure the onboarding of new clients, as well as maintain excellent relationships with existing clients.
    • This role encompasses business strategy development, client relationship management, client acquisition, industry analysis, risk monitoring and mitigation.

    Responsibilities
    Key responsibilities will include the following:

    • Oversee the articulation and development of a strategic business development and relationship management framework.
    • Lead the implementation of a growth strategy towards achieving the business development targets of the Organisation.
    • Develop strategic and long-term partnerships with clients, focused both on business growth and customer satisfaction.
    • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the Business Development and Relationship Management team in the implementation of tactical and operational plans.
    • Champion a customer management framework to build and maintain strong relationships with clients for business growth and retention.
    • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with various stakeholders, including key institutions and strategic business alliances.

    • the exe on of the Organisation's activitiesIdentify market opportunities and develop customer relevant propositions to drive market share growth and brand awareness.
    • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, as well as explore opportunities for growth.

    Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accounting, Finance and Administration or other related fields
    • A post-graduate degree in a Business, Management or Development Finance-related field.
    • Membership of business-related professional bodies such as ICAN, CIMA and CIBN.
    • A minimum of fifteen (15) years' cognate experience in a financial institution/development agency, six (6) of which must have been at managerial levelGood working knowledge of financial procedures and applications.
    • Strong understanding of Banking practices and related policy issues, their implications and applications
    • Demonstrable knowledge of risk management, proficiency in credit analysis and appraisal, and loan administration.
    • Excellent strategic networking, interpersonal and relationship management skills, to attract clients by communicating a compelling and inspired sense of purpose.
    • Proven leadership, negotiating and influencing skills.
    • Strong business and financial acumen.
    • Maturity and tact, including the ability to relate with different internal and external stakeholders.
    • Well-honed skills to persuade, influence, as well as manage and sustain effective relationships.
    • High ethical standards and integrity.
