Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Head of Accountant to lead the accounting function of the organization.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, providing strategic financial guidance, and supporting management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all accounting and financial operations of the organization.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and management accounts.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Monitor financial performance and provide strategic insights to the CEO.
• Ensure proper financial controls and risk management procedures are in place.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other financial stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience in accounting or finance, with leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
