Job Overview

YellowDoor Hotels is a boutique hotel in Abuja where the gym serves both business executives and paying external members. We need a Gym Instructor who brings real coaching presence - someone guests feel guided by, not just watched over. If you thrive on a live floor, hold high safety standards, and know how to keep members coming back, this role is built for you.

Responsibilities

• Coach guests and members through tailored, safe workout routines at every fitness level
• Design and monitor individual exercise programmes aligned to members' personal goals
• Demonstrate correct equipment use and enforce gym safety procedures daily
• Log all equipment faults within 24 hours and follow up until resolved
• Manage the external membership experience to retain and grow the paying member base
• Maintain a clean, organised gym environment across morning and evening rotating shifts

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience
• Exercise technique and coaching
• Gym equipment operation and safety
• Individual programme design
• Customer service and member management
• Operational reporting and fault logging
• Personal training and fitness programming
• Equipment safety and maintenance reporting
• Group and individual session facilitation
• Basic anatomy and injury prevention
• Member tracking and retention practices
• First aid and emergency response

Preferred Qualifications

• Fitness certification (e.g. ACSM, REPs, or equivalent)
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Group fitness or class instruction
