Job Summary

• The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their passion for illustrative design and typography.
• This candidate will have experiences in working with numerous different design platforms such as digital and print forms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets.
• Create compelling and effective logos, designs, print and digital media.
• Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape and market trends.
• Coordinates and prepares final designs for presentation, checking and approving color, copy, text format separations, and scaling images for use.
• Prepares layouts, designs, art work and formats for use on constructing sites, publications, websites, across various social media and others.
• Designs, lays out, and produces artwork such as graphs, maps, charts, posters, signs and report cover.
• Organizes copy flow and maintains database/bibliographic/archival retrieval system of all references used in creation of materials.
• May assist in invoicing and budget development by summarizing, researching and analyzing past project expenditures.
• May coordinate relationship with vendors; preparing specifications and obtaining estimates for final approval.
• May handle copyright, reprint, and permission processes.
• Create and design various materials for digital and print
• Select colors, fonts, images, and layouts
• Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner with a quality product
• Advise best practices and optimizations throughout design projects.
• Collaborate with fellow designers to develop new approaches for creating more-expressive graphics for the company
• Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software
• Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in graphic design.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills.
• Attention to detail
• Portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects
• Strong analytical skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web
• Experience with both print and digital media.
