Graphics Artist at Highland Church

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphics Artist to join our church ministry team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs that support our church's mission and engage our congregation. From designing promotional materials for events to creating graphics for social media and worship presentations, the Church Graphics Artist will play a crucial role in enhancing our church's visual communication and outreach efforts.  

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with church leadership and ministry teams to understand design needs and objectives for various church events, programs, and ministries.
• Create high-quality graphics and artwork for a wide range of church materials, including posters, flyers, banners, brochures, bulletins, newsletters, and social media posts.
• Design visually compelling presentations for worship services, sermons, and special events, incorporating scripture verses, worship song lyrics, and sermon series themes.
• Develop original illustrations, icons, and logos that reflect our church's identity and values.
• Maintain and update a library of design assets, including logos, branding elements, and stock imagery, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with the media and tech team to integrate graphics into multimedia presentations, videos, and live    streaming platforms for online services and events.
• Stay informed about current design trends, techniques, and technologies, and apply them creatively to enhance our church's visual communication strategies.
• Assist in the planning and execution of campaigns, outreach initiatives, and community events, providing creative input and design support as needed.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

Requirement:

• Proven experience as a Graphics Artist, Graphic Designer, or similar role, preferably in a church or ministry setting.
• Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
• Creative mindset with the ability to translate conceptual ideas into visually compelling designs that resonate with our church community.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Passion for serving in ministry and using creative talents to glorify God and support the mission of the church.
• Familiarity with Christian symbolism, imagery, and cultural references is a plus.

Qualifications:

• No degree required for this role but a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or any related field will be a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Graphics Design.
• Demonstrated ability to direct a team effectively.
