Grant Manager at WootLab

• We are seeking a passionate and experienced Grant Manager to lead our grant writing and fundraising strategy.
• This role is crucial in securing funding from government agencies, corporations, and philanthropic foundations to support our mission.
• The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and an excellent communicator who can craft compelling proposals and cultivate lasting donor relationships to enhance our global impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research, identify, and prioritise grant opportunities aligned with the foundation's mission and target SDGs.
• Develop and write compelling grant proposals, concept notes, and donor reports tailored to each funder's requirements and interests.
• Manage the entire grant lifecycle — from initial application and budgeting through compliance, reporting, and renewal — ensuring all deadlines and donor guidelines are met with high-quality submissions.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, funders, and philanthropic partners through regular communication, updates, and engagement opportunities.
• Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan to secure multi—year funding partnerships and diversify revenue streams (e.g. government grants, corporate sponsorships, and foundation support).
• Collaborate closely with program and finance teams to align grant proposals with project objectives, budgets, and impact metrics, ensuring funding requests are realistic and impactful.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, and donor relations, preferably in the international development, education, or economic empowerment sectors.
• Strong knowledge of global development issues and frameworks — especially in education, decent work, and economic empowerment — with an ability to connect program outcomes to SDG 4, 8, and IO.
• Demonstrated success in securing significant funding from multiple sources (government agencies, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic foundations).
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to craft a persuasive narrative and adapt tone/style to different audiences.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines, budgets, and reporting requirements.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a diverse team, showing initiative, flexibility, and leadership when coordinating efforts.
