Operational/Context Role
Street Child is looking for a dedicated M&E Assistant for our Girls Education Project in Adamawa State, North East Nigeria. The project is an 18-month GiZ-funded project. The goal is to address these problems, Street Child will leverage our experience implementing integrated Education in Emergencies and Child Protection in Emergencies programmes to tackle the complex, interlinked barriers to learning for different children. Building on existing relationships with government and NGO stakeholders to ensure coordination and complementarity will form the basis for targeted support to meet the educational needs of vulnerable and at-risk girls in Adamawa. For example, coordination with existing GIZ livelihoods and entrepreneurship programming for older learners who wish to receive vocational training will build a more holistic, accountable and needs-based intervention.
The ideal candidate would have experience in monitoring and evaluation needs across implementing project, while being able to support the implementing partner in improving their M&E systems. Good communication and team-working skills are essential, and the candidate must also be able to work independently. Analytical thinking, problem-solving and flexibility are expected.

The contract is for 18 months, with an initial probationary period of 3 months. The salary will be proportioned to the candidate experience and balanced to the Street Child salary scale.
