Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and diligent Generator Operator to handle the efficient operation, routine maintenance, and emergency repair of our generator fleet. Your primary focus will be minimizing downtime, adhering to strict safety standards, and optimizing generator performance to drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair Efficiency: Perform timely repairs and routine servicing on generator sets to minimize downtime and maximize operational uptime.
• Emergency Response: Rapidly address and resolve emergency generator faults, maintaining clear communication with clients, HODs, and suppliers throughout critical issues.
• Preventive Maintenance & Reporting: Execute scheduled inspections, servicing, and testing to prevent failures. Keep accurate records and generate regular performance and maintenance reports.
• Compliance & Safety: Conduct all operations, commissioning tests, and setups strictly following safety protocols, industry codes, and regulatory standards.
• Performance & Cost Optimization: Monitor generator operational efficiency continuously and implement adjustments to reduce operational and fuel costs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• OND, or equivalent technical qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating, servicing, and repairing heavy-duty soundproof generator.
• Solid understanding of generator performance optimization, electrical commissioning tests, and safety compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a quick response time during emergencies.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• High level of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
