We are seeking a skilled and experienced Generator Operator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply for our facilities.
The Generator Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting generator systems, performing routine inspections, and responding promptly to any equipment malfunctions.
Responsibilities:
Operate Generators: Start, stop, and monitor generators to ensure a continuous and reliable power supply.
Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and servicing of generators according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions in generator systems promptly to minimize downtime.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of generator operating parameters, maintenance activities, and any repairs performed.
Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to any power outages or emergency situations, taking appropriate actions to restore power promptly.
Collaboration: Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to schedule and execute preventive maintenance and repairs.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies during all generator operations.
Training: Provide training to other staff members on generator operation and safety protocols.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma, National Diploma (ND) or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience as a Generator Operator or in a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficient in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generators.
Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to follow established safety procedures.
Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively with other team members and departments.
Availability: Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, and working in various weather.
