General Worker / Cleaner at Smart Partners

Job Summary

• We are seeking hardworking, reliable, and responsible individuals to fill various General Worker and Cleaner positions across different locations in Lagos Island and Mainland.
• The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, supporting day-to-day operational activities, handling basic housekeeping duties, and ensuring assigned work areas are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
• This opportunity is suitable for individuals who are physically fit, hardworking, willing to learn, and able to follow instructions and workplace procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned offices, facilities, workspaces, washrooms, common areas, and surrounding environments.
• Sweep, mop, dust, scrub, wash, and disinfect assigned areas.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Clean and maintain cleaning equipment and materials.
• Replenish basic housekeeping supplies when required.
• Keep assigned areas neat, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Assist with basic movement, arrangement, loading, unloading, or setup of materials where required.
• Support supervisors and other team members with routine operational tasks.
• Follow all workplace health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, hazards, or unusual incidents to the supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are used appropriately and safely.
• Maintain punctuality, attendance, discipline, and professional conduct.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum of an SSCE/WAEC/NECO is preferred but not mandatory for all positions.
• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, facility support, factory, hospitality, or general labour experience is an advantage but not required.
• Must be physically fit and able to perform routine physical tasks.
• Must be hardworking, reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
• Good personal hygiene and neat appearance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, weekends, or public holidays where applicable.
• Must be willing to work at assigned locations across Lagos Island or Mainland.

Working Conditions:
