General Manager (Operations/Technology) at FMR AGENCY

FMR Agency is an end-to-end HR Company in Nigeria placing quality candidates to quality Companies alongside other services. This time, our client in the FMCG Industry is looking for a General Manager who is responsible for improving efficiency and increasing departmental profits while managing the company's overall operations. They oversee several elements in a business, including hiring staff, operating budgets, and launching price promotions that could attract more customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive and ensure complete integration and operation of company’s technology platforms (Website, ERPs etc.)
• Review work procedures and operational issues to determine ways to improve service performance and/or safety
• Collaborate with production team to establish best practice for all production and distribution of products.
• Analyze production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
• Regularly inspect finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards
• Motivate Factory workers to continually achieve targets.
• Act as the company interface when dealing with regulatory bodies (NAFDAC, SON & Tax authorities)
• Constantly seek alternative ways to source for raw materials to ensure production team is always engaged.
• Collaborate with Managing Director to make all high-level buying decisions and interactions with international partners.
• Hold periodic meetings with Distributors to understand challenges and report to Managing Director.
• Seek for more efficient ways to drive down production and operational cost to improve profit margin Maintain accurate record of all purchases, sales and requisitions
• Manage inventory stock and re-order when inventory drops to a specified limit
• Provide customer service by responding to customer queries/requests, collate order and ensure customer is provided quality customer experience.
• Manage subordinates to ensure compliance to processes and procedures
• Occasional visits to major stores to ensure compliance to Recommended Retail Price (RRP)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial management or any related field
• 5 years Proven experience in a managerial or Supervisory role within a factory
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications including Excel
• Ability to Multitask
• Outstanding time management
• excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Effective Communication Skills
