    General Manager

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure execution of 1004 HORA’s strategy and drive achievement of short, medium- and long-term aspirations
    • Manage the day-to-day performance of the 1004 HORA organization.
    • Provide supervision and guidance on the Estate’s operational, financial and administrative activities.
    • Track key operational and administrative metrics of 1004 HORA estate and on a periodic basis, and highlighting areas for corrective or reward actions where necessary and as guided by the reward and consequence management plan
    • Oversee all finance activities of HORA personnel across all financial management touch points, including but not limited to planning and budgeting, finance operations as well as reporting.
    • Maintain up-to-date awareness of 1004 HORA’s operational and financial status
    • Provide management information and reports to the 1004 HORA EXCO and Board of Trustees on the operational, financial and administrative position of the estate, as well as escalate major issues and challenges where necessary.
    • Create an enabling environment that will empower the management and staff to commit to achieving set goals and objectives and proactively respond to opportunities and challenges in the business environment
    • Develop and ensure co-operation amongst the management and staff by promoting a culture of teamwork, common purpose and shared values
    • Role model ethical behaviour and supports the embedment of a fair and supportive culture

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. or HND in Facilities Management / Business Administration / Finance / Real Estate / Engineering or relevant field.
    • MBA or M.Sc. in Facilities Management/Business Administration/Real Estate/public administration
    • Professional certification in Facilities Management, engineering etc
    • 8 -10 Year relevant experience
    • Experience in managing properties with wide range of facilities & processes.
    • Conversant with CMMS
    • Knowledge of finance and budgeting
    • Strong leadership, problem solving and stakeholder mgt. skills
    • Must be a great communicator, resourceful, detail oriented with strong time mgt. skills
