Job Summary

• The General Manager of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of our recycling plant, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing the team to achieve desired success.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in polymer and chemical engineering, with a strong background in factory operations management.
• This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of the recycling industry.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the recycling plant, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize productionand improve overall plant efficiency.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team oftechnicians, and other plant staff.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration between departments.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement changes to improve plant performance.
• Utilize expertise in polymer and chemical engineering to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Drive initiatives to reduce costs and increase productivity.

Strategic Planning:

• Work closely with senior management to develop long-term operational strategies.
• Analyze industry trends and advancements to keep the plant at the forefront of recycling technology.
• Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and other external stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and requiredservices.
• Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5 - 10 years work experience.
