    General Manager, Engineering Sales Division

    Job Description

    • Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have full responsibility for achieving the sales objectives of the Division.
    • You will ensure consistent growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of the sales team.
    • You will obtain profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counseling, skills development, and product knowledge development; managing the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, and streamlining processes and systems.
    • You will develop a business plan covering sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organisation’s presence in the market.

    Responsibilities

    • Take the lead in providing overall vision, strategy, tactics and goals for the division.
    • Develop an annual sales strategy and business plan to drive divisional growth.
    • Show adequate knowledge of key decision makers in the industry.
    • Develop and manage annual divisional budgets.
    • Hire and participate in the training of the sales force.
    • Ensure the sales force is motivated and focused on target delivery.
    • Lead market research and competitive analysis in order to identify threats & opportunities and develop the required immediate response.
    • Propose complementary strategies across Group divisions to strengthen the company’s market share position.
    • Act in the best interest of the company at all times and ensure the company's brand equity is not eroded.
    • Evaluate the performance and productivity of the sales force.

    Mandatory Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Degree
    • Minimum of 15 years experience in sales/business development focused roles with demonstrable achievements
    • Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills
    • Strong leadership qualities
    • Proven ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
    • Experience in high-end client engagement, marketing communications, product branding and sales conversion
    • Great networking, prospecting and closing skills.
