Gas Generator / Mechanical Engineer / Mechanic at Mikano

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in all steel fabricating materials used for the gen-set like base tank, base frame, and crossbars, etc.
• Knowledgeable in all the sizes or get the size of raw materials for each capacity like: nuts, bolts, washers etc.
• Know how to do machine balancing and use of cranes to lift/carry heavy equipment.
• Know if the gen-set is balance or not (engine with alternator, crossbar with anti-vibration mounting, radiator with hose and net etc.)
• Hand Over all the gen-set to the next stage in good time and condition (without scratch or dent on the radiator, alternator etc.)
• Responsible for determining quantity of oil and coolant for each series.
• To report any spare part or raw materials that is not normal before or after coupling.
• To know how to use and adjust tools e.g. crane, trolley, torque range, veneer caliber, Air rachet etc.
• To constantly remain up-to-date on problem solving techniques needed to solve problems like: white and black smoke, air in the system, leakage, abnormal sound, vibration etc.
• To read/understand the gen-set manuals and promptly report anything not understood.
• To adhere to any other job assigned to you by your superior (team leader / supervisor).
• To ensure tools are properly stored away to avoid putting scratches on steel fabricating materials and switch off all machines before leaving at close of work daily.

Qualification

• Education / qualification: OND, HND, B. Engineering and related field.
• Knowledge: Vast knowledge in Electrical / Mechanical / Engineering field.
• Experience: At least 5 years work experience in a similar industry.
• Generic & specific skills:
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Team player.
