    Gallery Assistant

    Job Summary

    • We seek a proactive and organized Gallery Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our gallery.
    • The ideal candidate will be passionate about the arts, possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
    • This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and smooth execution of exhibitions and events.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring a positive and engaging experience.
    • Provide accurate information on current exhibitions, artists, and gallery programs.
    • Assist with the setup and takedown of exhibitions and installations.
    • Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the gallery space.
    • Support the coordination and execution of gallery events and openings.
    • Maintain records of artworks and assist with inventory management.
    • Monitor artwork security and ensure visitor compliance with gallery policies.
    • Handle administrative tasks such as responding to inquiries and scheduling.
    • Assist with sales and provide basic customer service as needed.
    • Contribute to social media and promotional efforts under direction.
    • Liaise with artists, vendors, and external partners when necessary.
    • Perform other task assigned.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Minimum of SSCE / OND; a degree in Arts, Humanities, or related fields is an advantage.
    •  2 - 3 years experience in a gallery, museum, or event/arts-related role is preferred.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media tools.
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during special events or installations.
