Job Summary

• As they scale, they are looking for their first dedicated finance professional to step in as a Fund/Management Accountant to take absolute ownership of the valuation, compliance, and financial control of their growing investment portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Fund Accounting: Compute daily/periodic NAV for mutual funds and discretionary portfolios; reconcile cash and positions with custodians and brokers.
• Regulatory Compliance: Lead the preparation of statutory returns (AQR, weekly/quarterly reports) and ensure strict adherence to ISA 2025 and NFIU AML/CFT frameworks under SEC Nigeria Rules.
• Treasury & Liquidity: Monitor fund liquidity and oversee the smooth settlement of trades and vendor payments.
• Management Reporting: Develop robust performance dashboards and variance analyses to drive budgeting and forecasting.
• Risk Management: Implement internal controls and actively identify operational or valuation risks.

Requirements

• Education: B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Certification: ICAN or ACCA (Qualified or final stages/in-view).
• Experience: 3–7 years of specialized experience in Fund Accounting, Investment Banking, or Asset Management.
• Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of SEC Nigeria Rules, IFRS, and financial modeling. Mastery of Excel and fund accounting software is mandatory.
• Soft Skills: High autonomy, uncompromising integrity, acute attention to detail, and the confidence to manage diverse stakeholders (Trustees, Registrars, Auditors).
