Full Stack Python Developer at Del-York Group

Role Description

• This is a full-time Hybrid, Full Stack Python Developer role at Del-York Group in Lagos, with flexibility for remote work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing robust and scalable web applications, combining Python for backend development with modern JavaScript frameworks for the frontend. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that provide exceptional user experiences.

Main Responsibilities;

Backend Development:

• Develop and maintain server-side logic using Python and frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Build RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for seamless frontend integration.
• Optimize database performance using SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.

Frontend Development:

• Create responsive and dynamic user interfaces with modern frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Develop reusable components and ensure front-end code is optimized for speed and scalability.

System Design and Architecture:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable system architectures.

Collaboration and Leadership:

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Partner with product managers, UX/UI designers, and QA engineers to ensure project success.

Testing and Deployment:

• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for high code quality.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployments and monitor production systems for issues.

Documentation and Maintenance:

• Develop comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and APIs.
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance development practices.

Qualifications and Skills

Technical Skills:

• Backend: Python, Django, Flask, FastAPI, Celery.
• Frontend: React, Angular, Vue.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Sass/LESS.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, CI/CD pipelines.
• Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab.
• Testing Frameworks: Pytest, Selenium, Jest, Enzyme.
• APIs: REST, GraphQL.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team when needed.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality software delivery.

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience as a Fullstack Developer.
• Proven expertise in delivering large-scale web applications.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of machine learning or AI frameworks.
• Experience with WebSockets or real-time applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
