MAX is a social enterprise that is building technology and financial infrastructure for transportation in Africa. We are making mobility safe, affordable, accessible, and sustainable through the deployment of high-performance technology and operators. MAX provides Asset-Backed Vehicle Financing, Driver Training, Identity management, eHailing Platform, last-mile logistics, and digital stores to businesses. We are the first EV company in Africa to retrofit a combustion motorcycle into an all-electric motorcycle and achieved 19% week on week growth in 2019. We target an $80B market across Sub Saharan Africa.

We are looking to hire candidates who will be responsible for designing and implementing optimal solutions to complex problems and to meet critical business needs.

With the following responsibilities:

• Expanding and improving existing web applications

• Developing new user-facing features using HTML, CSS, Javascript (React.js)

• Building reusable code and libraries for future use

• Optimizing application for maximum speed and scalability

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

• Ability to perform and thrive in a team environment

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Work closely with the Design team to implement new features

• Independently support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support).

• Ensure all codes are properly documented for future reference

Requirements

• Experience working in an AGILE environment

• Experience working with RESTful web services

• Experience with TDD

• Strong understanding of Front-end best practices

• Experience with build automation

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML, CSS

• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms

• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks

• Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS (ReactJS is preferred)

• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

• 3/ 4years working experience (or equivalent experience with multiple professional software development product teams) in Software Development with ReactJS
