Job Description
We are looking for:

• We are seeking a Frontend Engineer II to build and scale secure, reliable, and intuitive digital financial products.
• In this role, you will partner with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences while driving frontend architecture and engineering best practices.
• You will support key initiatives, contribute to technical decision-making, and help ensure our applications meet the performance, scalability, and security standards required in the fintech industry.

Responsibilities
What will you do:

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance frontend applications that support digital banking, payments, lending, wealth management, and other financial services products.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and compliance teams to deliver customer-centric financial solutions.
• Develop reusable and maintainable frontend components using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, ensuring consistency across products and platforms.
• Build intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex financial transactions, account management, reporting, and payment workflows.
• Integrate frontend systems with APIs, payment gateways, banking services, fraud prevention tools, and third-party financial platforms.
• Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations, data privacy requirements, accessibility standards, and security best practices.
• Implement robust authentication, authorization, and secure session management mechanisms to protect customer and transaction data.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, scalability, and reliability across multiple devices and browsers.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to customer transactions, account servicing, and digital financial products.

Qualifications
What you bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5 years building mobile apps in fintech or a regulated environment preferred.
• Frontend Development (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• JavaScript & TypeScript Expertise.
• Financial Systems & FinTech Product Knowledge.
• Secure Application Development.
• Payment Gateway & API Integration.
• Agile Product Development.
• Regulatory & Compliance Awareness.

Regulatory Considerations:

• Implements frontend controls supporting PCI-DSS and secure handling of sensitive input fields.
• Ensures consent flows and data collection UI comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
