    Front Desk Officer

    Job Brief

    • We are looking to hire a Front Desk Officer with excellent organizational and administrative skills. Front Desk Officers are expected to be compassionate and discrete with superb time management and record-keeping skills.
    • As a Front Desk Officer in a hospital, your primary role is to greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff. You'll handle patient registrations, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments.
    • Additionally, you'll answer phone calls, address inquiries, and maintain patient records. Excellent communication, empathy, and organizational skills are crucial for this role.

    Responsibilities

    • As a Front Desk Staff member in a hospital, your duties typically include:
    • Greeting and welcoming patients, visitors, and staff with a friendly and professional demeanor.
    • Registering patients by collecting basic personal and insurance information.
    • Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment system for various departments.
    • Answering phone calls, addressing inquiries, and routing calls to the appropriate personnel.
    • Assisting with patient check-in and check-out processes.
    • Verifying insurance coverage and assisting with billing inquiries.
    • Maintaining patient records and ensuring confidentiality.
    • Coordinating and assisting with the administrative tasks of the hospital, such as managing paperwork and supplies.
    • Providing directions and information to patients and visitors.
    • Collaborating with other hospital departments and staff to ensure efficient operations.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a First Degree / HND.
    • 2 years of experience at a healthcare facility in a Front Desk role (essential).
    • Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
    • Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
    • Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
    • Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.
    • Passionate about healthcare excellence.
