    Freight Agent (Sales-Driven Role)

    Job Summary

    • This is a sales-first role.
    • We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are driven by closing deals, hitting targets, and earning commission.
    • As a Freight Agent, your primary focus will be winning new business, building client relationships, and generating revenue.
    • If you enjoy cold calling, negotiating, and turning conversations into deals, this role offers strong earning potential in a fast-moving industry.

    What You’ll Be Responsible For

    • Prospect and generate new business through high-volume outbound calls.
    • Build a pipeline of shippers and consistently close new accounts.
    • Negotiate pricing and secure profitable freight deals.
    • Develop long-term customer relationships to drive repeat business.
    • Manage shipments and ensure successful delivery (supporting your sales).
    • Stay organized and track activity using CRM/TMS systems.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Sales-driven mindset with a strong desire to earn commission.
    • Confidence making outbound calls and handling objections.
    • Ability to close deals and meet or exceed targets.
    • Competitive, resilient, and comfortable with rejection.
    • Strong communication and persuasion skills.
    • Self-motivated with a “hunter” mentality.

    Requirements

    • Experience in sales, telemarketing, or business development preferred.
    • Comfortable making 50+ outbound calls per day.
    • Ability to work in a target-driven, performance-based environment.
    • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
    • Basic computer skills (CRM systems, email, Excel).

    Education:

    • OND, Secondary School Diploma or WAEC / NECO (required).
    • Degree in Business, Sales, Logistics, or related field (a plus, not required).

    Preferred (Not Required):

    • B2B sales experience.
    • Freight agency, logistics, or trucking background.
    • Familiarity with load boards.
