Forklift Driver at Jaykay Group

Job Summary

• We are looking for a suitable Forklift Driver (or Operator) that will safely operate theforklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the company premises.
• Your key responsibilities include performing daily safety checks on equipment, inspecting materials for damage, and ensuring all operations comply with health and safety regulations.
• You will also assist with general warehouse duties such as order picking, palletizing goods, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate industrial lift trucks to move, relocate, stack, and count merchandise and materials.
• Place and store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper product rotation and organization.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of the forklift, report any defects, and perform minor maintenance as needed.
• Keep accurate records of inventory activity, identify damages or shortages, and update activity logs.
• Assist with order picking, preparing items for shipment, and other general labor duties like palletizing and shrink-wrapping.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and relevant regulations to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
• Communicate with supervisors and other team members to maintain an efficient and organized workflow.

Skills and Qualification Required

• Candidates should possess an SSCE, FSLC, or OND qualification 2-5 years experience
• Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and different types of loads.
• Ability to work in close quarters and maneuver equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and instructions.
• Basic math skills for inventory and quantity checks.
• Physical ability to lift, pull, and push materials up to the forklift's capacity.
