Food & Beverage Intern at Prestigious Consulting Group

About the Role

• We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Food & Beverage Intern to support our Product Development and Stakeholder Engagement teams.
• This internship offers hands-on exposure to the development of functional beverages and wellness-focused food products, from formulation and laboratory testing to regulatory documentation, stakeholder engagement, and product commercialization.

Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Quality Support:

• Assist with the formulation and testing of functional beverages and food products.
• Support product trials, ingredient measurements, and batch documentation.
• Participate in shelf-life studies, packaging evaluations, and sensory testing.
• Record formulation changes and maintain technical documentation.
• Assist in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and production records.
• Support inventory tracking and raw material traceability.
• Help identify and troubleshoot formulation or production challenges under supervision.

Regulatory & Documentation:

• Assist in preparing documentation for NAFDAC and SON product registrations.
• Support product labeling reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate product development records and technical reports.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Attend stakeholder meetings and prepare meeting notes and action items.
• Assist with presentations, reports, and project updates for external partners.
• Coordinate communications with research institutions, regulatory agencies, manufacturers, and other stakeholders.
• Support planning for meetings, audits, inspections, and site visits.

Design & Communication:

• Design presentation materials, product labels, infographics, and other visual communication assets using Canva or similar tools.
• Ensure all communication materials align with company branding and quality standards.
• Develop simple visual content to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Food Science & Technology
  • Food Technology
  • Nutrition & Dietetics
  • Biochemistry
  • Microbiology
  • Chemistry
  • Agricultural Science
  • Food Engineering
  • or any related discipline.
• Previous SIWES, internship, laboratory, or food manufacturing experience is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of food product development, food safety, and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with NAFDAC, SON, GMP, HACCP, or food regulatory requirements is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design tools is desirable.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
