Job Summary

• This role will be responsible for executing securities trading on behalf of institutional and retail clients based on equity research relating to fixed income investments.

Responsibilities

• Execute security trading on behalf of institutional and retail clients based on equity research relating to fixed income investments. 
• Recommend new strategies by evaluating the existing fixed income investment plans.
• Offer fixed income products and services as per the client's financial abilities and his interest in investment.
• Perform all the back-end office work, to make entry into new markets, and to make sure that all the activities of trading are carried out efficiently by adhering to the rules and regulations of the company.
• Manage daily trading and ensure timely execution of the orders.
• Ensures that all documents and account records are maintained and updated regularly.
• Stay abreast of emerging trading trends and changing regulatory guidelines to enable the development and implementation of appropriate trading measures.
• Conduct research and analysis of fixed income markets, including interest rate trends, credit quality, macroeconomic factors, and other relevant information to identify trading opportunities and assess risks. 
• Monitor and manage the risks associated with fixed income trading, including interest rate risk, credit risk and liquidity risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or any related discipline
• Minimum of Six (6) years relevant post-qualification experience 
• Professional certification, e.g. CISA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CFA or other relevant professional certificate is an added advantage 
• Significant experience in fixed income trading, preferably in a financial securities firm or investment bank, with a strong track record of successful trades and risk management. 
• In-depth understanding of fixed income markets, including different types of fixed income securities, yield curve dynamics, credit analysis, and market liquidity. 
• Familiarity with financial derivatives and structured products is also beneficial. 
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills to analyze market data, assess risk-reward profiles, and develop effective trading strategies. 
• Proficiency in using financial models, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools is essential.
