Fixed Assets Accountant at LD&D Consulting

Summary

• Responsible for managing and maintaining accurate fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting reporting and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including acquisitions, disposals, and movements.
• Conduct periodic asset verification and ensure accurate tagging.
• Calculate and record depreciation and amortization in line with IFRS/Nigerian standards.
• Review and classify capital projects, track Capital Work in Progress (CIP)
• Prepare and post asset-related journal entries; reconcile sub-ledger with general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Support audits and assist in asset-related budgeting and forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ICAN/ACCA/CPA/CIMA preferred.
• 2–3 years’ experience in fixed asset accounting (construction/manufacturing an advantage).
• Proficiency in SAP, SAGE, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
