Financial Reporting Officer at Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a Financial Reporting Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will manage financial transactions and procedures and assist with budget preparation, financials preparation and management activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage Account Payables for all vendors to show accurate position at all times;
• Invoice pending Purchase Orders received for vendors on D365;
• Daily posting for all bank payments on D365;
• Post all transactions on D365;
• Update the ERP with financial data/transactions;
• Manage and maintain Intercompany accounts;
• Ensures adherence to accounting procedures and departmental standard operating procedure;
• Routine/monthly proof of general ledger for NGX Group and its subsidiaries;
• Review of branches Impress Account;
• Prepare Monthly Amortisation schedule, post on D365 and keep schedule/proof for audit purposes;
• Manage project accounts. fixed asset account, acquisition and depreciation;
• Prepare departmental report for performance management;
• Prepare quarterly returns for SEC for the NGX Group subsidiaries;
• Prepare budget templates/ budget report for NGX Group and its subsidiaries;
• Attend to internal and external audit requirements for NGX Group and its subsidiaries.

Person Specification & Required Qualification (s)

• B.Sc./HND in Finance, Accounting, Economics or its equivalent;
• Professional qualifications e.g. ACCA, ACA will be an advantage;
• Minimum of 4 years cognate experience in a Financial Control unit of a Bank or a top Financial Services/Audit firm, or Investment Management Company;
• Strong understanding of Financial Services or Capital Market industry will be an added advantage;
• Demonstratable ability to be flexible, adaptable and comfortable with ambiguities;
• Ability to move between big picture and detail.
