Finance Officer (NYSC) at Nicole Sinclair Consulting

JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day financial transactions, records and reporting. The role will ensure accurate bookkeeping, proper cash management, timely reconciliation and effective financial controls across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily financial transactions, receipts, payments and expense records.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and supporting documentation.
• Monitor cash flow, collections, payments and outstanding receivables.
• Perform regular bank, cash and account reconciliations.
• Prepare periodic financial and management reports for the General Manager.
• Monitor income and expenses against approved budgets and identify variances.
• Process invoices, payments, petty cash and other financial documentation.
• Ensure proper documentation and approval of all company expenses.
• Support payroll preparation and statutory remittances where required.
• Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain proper financial records for audit and tax purposes.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Provide financial information and analysis to support management decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• First Degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN/ACCA will be an advantage.
• Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in a service, automotive, retail or similar business environment will be an advantage.
