    Finance Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Finance Officer will provide support to the Finance Specialist to ensure prompt disbursement and reporting both at all levels of grant implementation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions.
    • Prepare balance sheets.
    • Process invoices
    • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Update internal systems with financial data.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Reconcile bank statements.
    • Participate in financial audits.
    • Track bank deposits and payments
    • Assist with budget preparation.
    • Review and implement financial policies.
    • Carry out other duties that may be assigned by the Finance Manager

    Educational Qualification and / or Work Experience Requirements

    • S/he must possess HND / B.Sc in Accountancy / Finance or related discipline.
    • Professional Certification (ACA or ACCA) is an added advantage.

    Desired competencies:

    • Minimum of 4 years working experience.
    • Excellent technical, written and presentation skills are highly desirable.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and to be self-managing.
    • Excellent inter-personal and team building skills.
    • Proven work experience of at least 4 years as a Finance Officer or similar role
    • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
    • Experience using financial software [SAGE and Quickbooks]
    • Advanced MS Excel skills
    • Knowledge of financial regulations
    • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
    • Sharp time management skills
    • Strong work ethic with an ability to manage confidential data.
    • Acceptable knowledge of relevant accounting & tax laws in Nigeria.
