    Finance Officer

    Responsibilities 

    • The Finance Officer is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, supporting budgeting processes, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.
    • The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in accounting principles.
    • Candidates must have commenced professional certification with Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). 

    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Reporting & Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
    • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

    Budgeting & Cost Control:

    •  Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets
    •  Track expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets
    •  Provide cost analysis and recommend cost-saving measures

    Accounts Payable & Receivable:

    • Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently
    • Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments
    • Ensure timely settlement of vendor obligations

    Compliance & Audit Support:

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and tax requirements
    • Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation
    • Maintain proper filing systems for audit trails

    Payroll & Statutory Deductions:

    •  Assist in payroll preparation and processing
    •  Ensure accurate computation and remittance of PAYE, pension, and other statutory deductions 6. Financial Analysis & Advisory
    •  Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
    • Prepare variance analysis and management reports
    • Support financial planning and forecasting activities

     Internal Controls & Risk Management:

    • Implement and maintain internal control procedures
    •  Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
    •  Ensure adherence to approved financial processes

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    •  Must have started professional certification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
    • 2–4 years relevant experience in finance or accounting
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • High level of integrity and attention to detail
