Finance Officer at Capsgain Solutions

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to oversee and manage the financial operations of Capsgain Solutions Limited. The ideal candidate must be disciplined, analytical, and proactive in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strict remittance compliance, and effective recovery of company funds from delivery partners.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, payroll, etc.) using accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Excel).
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including cash flow statements, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
• Support the preparation of management accounts and financial performance dashboards.
• Ensure all ledgers (cash, bank, payables, receivables) are updated daily and reconciled weekly.

 Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in developing annual budgets and financial projections.
• Monitor expenditure against budget and highlight any variances or anomalies.
• Provide financial insights to management for cost control and decision-making.

 Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payment of vendors.
• Track receivables, follow up on outstanding customer payments, and reconcile customer accounts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly aging reports for payables and receivables.

Bank & Cash Management

• Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts and petty cash.
• Monitor inflows from sales channels (e.g., bank, POS, online payments, delivery agents).
• Ensure accurate posting of deposits, withdrawals, and transfers in the accounting system.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and statutory obligations (taxes, pension, VAT, WHT, etc.).
• Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions for audit purposes.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing requested documentation and explanations.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

• Implement and monitor internal financial controls to prevent fraud and ensure accountability.
• Recommend improvements in financial processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
• Work with other departments to enforce discipline in expense reporting, cash handling, and documentation.

Management Support

• Provide timely financial data and insights to support strategic decisions.
• Assist management in evaluating new projects, loans, and investment opportunities.
• Prepare and track repayment schedules for company loans and debts.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Accuracy of financial reports (error-free and delivered on time).
• Timeliness of bank and cash reconciliations.
• Variance between actual and budgeted expenses.
• Level of compliance with tax and audit requirements.
• Reduction in outstanding receivables and improved cash flow accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Excel,).
• Strong analytical, reporting, and reconciliation skills.
• Proven ability to manage cash flow and enforce payment discipline.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and organizational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
