Finance Manager at Applied Engineering Technology Initiative

We are looking for a result-oriented Finance Manager that will work with our senior management in making key business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data in form of reports, developing, and implementing strategies to reduce businesses' operational costs and ensure business growth. S/he will be performing financial analysis, preparing financial forecasts, and advising senior management on strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients (individuals or businesses) and provide financial information and advice
• Liaise with internal and external auditors (where applicable) and deal with any financial irregularities as they arise
• Maintain accounting records and prepare accounts and management information for the company
• Monthly management financial reporting and analysis
• Prepare the budget for the business  and monitor expenditure
• Preparation of balance sheet and P&L statements
• Payroll processing, including expense reimbursement and superannuation contributions
• Cashflow forecasting and budgeting
• Reconciliation of actual performance against forecasts 
• Working closely with external auditors to prepare the statutory financial reports
• Development of appropriate financial controls and processes
• Ongoing automation and continuous improvement as the business continues to scale.

Qualification/Skills/Experience

• 4 year university degree in accounting
• 6+ years of finance/accounting experience ideally in professional services and structure business environment
• Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access)
• Relevant knowledge of local accounting rules and taxes
• Specialized functional knowledge (e.g., finance, accounting, audit, cash management, taxes)
• Excellent analytic thinking and problem solving skills; ability to anticipate and independently resolve issues
