Finance Manager at a Reputsble Company

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee and manage the company’s financial operations, ensure compliance with statutory and client reporting requirements, and provide strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth objectives. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts. Provide accurate and timely financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor cash flow, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and manage working capital to ensure the company’s liquidity needs are met.
• Supervise payroll processing and ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, pensions, taxes).
• Oversee client invoicing processes, monitor collections, and ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with project milestones and contracts.
• Lead and supervise the finance team, providing coaching and support to ensure high performance and continuous development.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, bankers, and relevant statutory bodies to ensure compliance and maintain good relationships.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, policies, and procedures for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and present periodic financial reports and insights for senior management and board meetings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA is required.
• Minimum of 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in an HR consulting, professional services, or outsourcing environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and local tax laws. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
