    Finance and Operations Officer

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Oversee end-to-end transaction processing, including investment bookings, liquidations, journal postings, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
    • Perform daily bank reconciliations for all accounts, resolve outstanding items, and manage unidentified inflows in a timely manner.
    • Support the administration of mutual fund operations including subscriptions, redemptions, financial instrument bookings, and daily NAV reporting.
    • Coordinate with counterparties and banks for treasury management activities, account openings, and timely collection of Certificates of Investment (COIs).
    • Execute all client payments—commissions, interests, and redemptions—within stipulated timelines, while ensuring zero income leakages and fraud.
    • Maintain updated ledgers for Sundry Creditors, Debtors, and Cash Advances; support accurate reporting for management accounts and statutory returns.
    • Ensure prompt recovery of withholding tax (WHT) and support tax, audit, and regulatory requests with appropriate documentation.
    • Uphold full compliance with SEC, FMAN, and internal operational policies, particularly for the Norrenberger Islamic Fund and related instruments like Ijara loans.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • 2–4 years’ relevant experience in financial operations, reconciliation, or fund administration.
    • Strong understanding of financial instruments, bank reconciliation, and transaction processing.
    • Excellent analytical, attention-to-detail, and data validation skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with Core Banking/Investment systems.
    • Knowledge of SEC and FMAN regulations is an advantage.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
