ZEGCAWIS is seeking an efficient Finance and Administration Officer who will responsible for providing administrative support, as well as accounting services, for ensuring internal sound control, financial reporting, training, and providing advice and support to relevant stakeholders within a comprehensive financial management structure.
In addition to the accounting services, the post holder will provide general support and advice on all programme related financial issues from the budgeting to the final evaluation of the office and provide efficient financial management.
Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
Provide counselling on policies and procedures
Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
Create and implement effective on boarding plans
Assist in performance management processes
Support the management on disciplinary and grievance issues
Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
Ensure that prospective staff have the right to work at the organisation
Plan and sometimes deliver training, including new staff inductions
Deal with staff welfare and administration-centered activities
Advise on pay and other benefits
Undertake salary reviews and manage redundancy programmes
Carry out strategy and planning activities and develop strategies to meet immediate and long-term staff requirements
Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation
Requirements
Education:
A B.Sc in Finance, Accounting, Administration or related degree.
Knowledge / Skills:
Good communication skills, oral and written.
Time management skills
Should have great problem-solving logic
Critical thinking and the ability to work under stress
Should have good administrative and office skills
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to think ahead
Ability to develop and manage professional relations, with outstanding interpersonal and coordination skills.
Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
A combination of hard and soft skills
