    Finance & Admin Manager

    Our client, a retail firm with rapidly growing hard-discount retail outlets in the various neighbourhoods of Lagos, is seeking a finance and administration manager who will be responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative aspects of the business, ensuring effective and efficient operations, ensuring compliance with taxes and laws, and contributing to the overall success of the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a strong background in finance and administration within the retail industry.

    Job Description 

    • Prepare and analyze monthly and yearly  financial statements pertaining to the region . 
    • Monitor cash flow and working capital and optimize financial performance.
    • Coordinate  with banks and financial institutions for efficient fund utilization.
    • Oversee  the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
    • Manage  the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in the region .
    • Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions in the region 
    • Ensure  the lowest possible cost and the highest possible productivity in the organization.
    • Oversee the administration of all payroll issues as far as standard contracts, legal subjects, salary payments, and social security payments are concerned.
    • Ensure the retail outlet's compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations, including tax filings and reporting.
    • Liaise with internal and external  auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
    •  inventory results in stores and ensuring correct and reliable data.
    •  Provide the necessary IT-infrastructure for the region, especially for the stores.
    •  Make suggestions and negotiate all insurance contracts for the company.
    •  Decides on the salary of all the  staff in accordance with the salary policy of the company.
    •  Ensure  the necessary legal procedures on accounting, tax matters and labor law

    Qualifaction

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required.
    • Professional certifications such as Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an added advantage 
    •  Minimum of 5 years of work experience in finance and administration, preferably in the retail industry.
    • Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage day-to-day operations efficiently.
    • Proficiency in using financial software and accounting systems .
    • Strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
    • High levels of integrity and adherence to ethical standards in financial and administrative practices.

    Remuneration :

    N1,170,000 – N1,290,000 gross per month and an official car
