Finance & Accounting Associate at Ashipa Electric Corp.

• The successful candidate will be embedded within a growing renewable energy company operating across mini-grid deployment, Commercial & Industrial (C&I) energy, and digital energy infrastructure — and will play a direct role in maintaining the financial health and investor-readiness of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records and manage the general ledger.
• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Support payroll processing and expense reimbursements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare management accounts and board reports.
• Maintain fixed asset registers.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Support annual budgeting exercises and prepare budget vs. actual reports.
• Conduct variance analysis and monitor departmental and project expenditures.
• Support forecasting activities.

Cash Flow & Treasury

• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital and liquidity.
• Track receivables and payment obligations.
• Support treasury planning activities.

Compliance & Audit

• Support statutory and tax filings; maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support implementation of audit recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Fundraising Support

• Maintain fundraising trackers and financial data rooms.
• Provide historical financial information required for due diligence.
• Support investor and lender reporting.
• Supply financial schedules required for fundraising processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• ICAN, ACCA, or ACA certification — qualified or in progress preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).

Advantageous

• Prior experience in the energy, infrastructure, or development sector.
• Familiarity with fundraising processes, data rooms, or investor reporting.
• Exposure to project accounting or multi-entity consolidation.
