Finance & Account Manager at Instollar LLC

Role Summary 

• We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Finance & Accounting Manager to manage  Instollar’s financial operations.
• This role involves day-to-day accounting responsibilities, as well as  strategic financial planning, grant reporting, compliance, and investor relations.
• You will help us  achieve financial discipline as we scale, provide visibility into business performance, and manage  donor and investor reporting. 

Role Responsibilities 

Accounting & Financial Operations 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, etc.) 
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. 
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, statutory filings, and company registration. 
• Oversee invoice generation, contractor payments, and financial reconciliations. 

Financial Management & Planning 

• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. 
• Support grant management and financial reporting to donors (e.g., Acumen, Angels, etc.) 
• Generate financial reports for leadership, investors, and other stakeholders. 
• Build and track KPIs relevant to growth, burn rate, revenue streams, and funding milestones. 
• Advise management on financial performance and sustainability. 

Investor & Grant Reporting 

• Prepare periodic grant and investor financial reports. 
• Monitor and manage both restricted and unrestricted funding streams to ensure accurate  allocation, compliance with donor requirements, and effective financial planning. 
• Collaborate with the business development team to create budgets for proposals

Role Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ICAN/ACCA qualification  preferred. 
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including work in startups, social enterprises, or  donor-funded organisations. 
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations and compliance standards. 
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Sage) and Excel. 
• Experience managing donor funds and reporting for grants. 
• Ability to synthesise data into dashboards and performance reports. 
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills. 
• Passion for clean energy, social impact, and technology is a strong plus.
