We are looking for an experienced and motivated Filling Station Manager to oversee the operations at our client station.
This role involves managing daily activities, supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
The Filling Station Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the station, including fuel sales, convenience store operations, and other services offered.
Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise station staff, creating schedules and managing performance to ensure excellent service and smooth operation.
Customer Service: Ensure high standards of customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints effectively to enhance the customer experience.
Inventory and Stock Management: Manage fuel and store inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels, timely ordering, and proper storage.
Financial Management: Monitor station finances, including cash flow, sales reports, and expense management, ensuring adherence to budget and achieving sales targets.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular inspections and safety drills to maintain a safe working environment.
Quality Control: Monitor fuel quality and ensure that all products meet regulatory and company standards.
Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of pumps, equipment, and the station facility, ensuring everything operates efficiently and safely.
Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records for fuel sales, employee hours, expenses, and inventory, and prepare regular reports for upper management.
Marketing and Promotions: Implement and promote sales and marketing campaigns, including seasonal promotions and loyalty programs, to attract and retain customers.
Qualifications
Education: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Basic accounting knowledge and financial acumen.
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office and point-of-sale systems.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the fuel or convenience store industry.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to fuel handling and storage.
Familiarity with inventory management software and sales reporting.
