    Field Sales Supervisor

    Role Purpose

    • The Field Sales Supervisor will be responsible for driving daily field sales, seller activation, and productivity across the company’s existing sales network.
    • The role will work closely with the Regional Business Manager to ensure Marketers, Champions, Promoters, and retail partner stores remain active, productive, and focused on achieving sales targets.
    • The successful candidate will be highly field-oriented, actively engaging sellers, visiting stores and markets, generating sales opportunities, reactivating inactive channels, and ensuring leads are effectively converted into sales.

    Key Responsibilities
    Field Sales & Productivity:

    • Drive daily sales across Sales Marketers, Champions, Promoters, and retail partner stores.
    • Monitor sales activities and ensure sellers remain active and productive.
    • Generate sales opportunities directly from the field.
    • Drive sellers to achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
    • Identify gaps in sales performance and implement actions to improve results.
    • Monitor field execution and ensure sales activities translate into measurable revenue.

    Seller Activation & Development:

    • Regularly visit stores, markets, and other sales locations within the assigned territory.
    • Identify inactive and low-performing marketers and sellers.
    • Develop and implement strategies to reactivate underperforming sellers and sales channels.
    • Recruit and activate additional sales channels where required.
    • Coach sellers on customer engagement, product/service presentation, sales techniques, and conversion.
    • Motivate and support sellers to consistently achieve their assigned targets.

    Sales Pipeline & Conversion:

    • Track daily sales activities, leads, pipeline, and conversion performance.
    • Follow up on sales opportunities and ensure leads progress through to conversion.
    • Identify new sales opportunities within assigned territories.
    • Maintain strong relationships with sellers, retailers, dealers, and other field partners.
    • Support the team in improving lead conversion and overall sales productivity.

    Reporting & Team Support:

    • Provide regular reports and updates on field activities, sales performance, seller productivity, and pipeline.
    • Escalate operational blockers and field challenges promptly to the Regional Business Manager.
    • Provide relevant market feedback and intelligence from the field.
    • Support the Regional Business Manager in achieving the overall Abuja/FCT regional sales target.
    • Work closely with the Regional Business Manager to improve field execution, seller activation, and productivity.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in field sales or a similar sales supervisory capacity.
    • Experience in mobile phones, consumer electronics, telecoms, device financing, or related industries is highly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of the mobile phone and consumer electronics retail market.
    • Experience working with phone retailers, dealers, distributors, promoters, or similar sales networks.
    • Proven ability to drive sales, generate leads, and convert opportunities.
    • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve field sales targets.
    • Ability to coach, motivate, manage, and drive sellers to deliver results.
    • Experience managing marketers, Champions, Promoters, merchants, or similar sales networks is an advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of Abuja/Nasarawa retail markets.
    • Existing relationships within the Abuja/Nasarawa phone and retail ecosystem will be an advantage.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
    • Hausa-speaking ability is an added advantage.
    • Energetic, proactive, target-driven, resilient, commercially minded, and results-oriented.
    • Strong problem-solving and field execution abilities.
    • Must be comfortable spending the majority of the working day in the field.
    • Candidates should ideally be based in Nasarawa or within close proximity to the assigned territory.

    Important:

    • This is a highly field-intensive role.
    • The successful candidate must be able to physically visit stores, markets, and sales locations and actively drive sales performance.
    • The role requires someone who can get people to produce results, not simply supervise them.
    • Candidates with generic supervisory experience but limited exposure to the mobile phone/consumer electronics retail ecosystem should not be considered.
