As a Field Coordinator with URUS, you will play a critical role in the effective implementation of the Value4Dairy Consortium Project within an assigned region.
This role ensures the successful execution of genetic improvement programs, farmer engagement, and sustainable commercialization of dairy genetics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Project Implementation: Oversee the technical execution of the V4D project in the designated region
Training & Farmer Mobilization: Organize and facilitate training sessions for farmers and inseminators
Data Management & Reporting: Collect, document, compile and submit data on field activities
Commercialization & Distribution Support: Promote and support the commercialization of dairy genetics (semen) in the region
Monitoring & Evaluation: Assist distributors in monitoring artificial insemination (AI) activities and evaluating the performance of AI technicians
Semen Handling & Storage: Ensure proper handling and storage of semen to maintain optimal conditions and product integrity
Farmer Support & Productivity Enhancement: Provide technical assistance and feedback to farmers to improve productivity through the adoption of best practices
Recruitment & Outreach: Recruit farmers and AI technicians
Resource Coordination: Ensure the availability and distribution of training and promotional materials
Requirements
Education: Animal Science or Veterinary experience/background
2+ years of artificial insemination experience
Basic computer and Microsoft Office knowledge
Proficient in BOTH English and Yoruba
Excitement for progressing farming and dairy production throughout Nigeria
