Feed Mill Supervisor at Lohachy Farms

• We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, thorough, and organized feed mill operator to oversee the operation of our two-tons Hammer Mills. In this position, you will play a key role in the production of quality feeds and maintenance of the machinery for cost-efficient production.  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• HND or BSC Technical or Mechanical in a related
• At least 2 years previous experience as feed mill operator in the poultry/ livestock industry

  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Monitoring product quality and maintaining production schedules to ensure that products are produced in accordance with company standards and quantity
• Operating machinery to grind grain into flour or blend feed ingredients according to recipe specifications
• Mixing ingredients to create feed blends using mixers, grinders and feed mill
• Monitoring machinery to ensure that it is functioning properly
• Maintaining inventory of feed ingredients and finished products to ensure that levels do not drop below-required amounts
• Monitoring storage conditions to ensure that products do not spoil or become infested with insects or other pests
• Mixing feed ingredients, such as corn, soybean meal, minerals, and other additives, into a dry mash or slurry that can be stored or fed to livestock
• Mixing ingredients to create the required products for poultry, fish, or other livestock
