Job Summary

• We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join our design team. 
• The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion trends, has a strong sense of aesthetics, and can bring concepts to life through sketching, pattern making, and garment construction. 
• You will be responsible for designing clothing collections, ensuring production quality, and staying ahead of fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop original clothing designs from concept to final product
• Create mood boards, sketches, and tech packs for production
• Conduct market research to stay updated on current trends, colors, fabrics, and techniques
• Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of designs
• Oversee fittings and make necessary adjustments to patterns or prototypes
• Work closely with merchandisers and marketers to align designs with brand goals
• Assist in planning seasonal collections and fashion shows (if applicable)

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fashion design or garment production
• Strong sketching and illustration skills (hand or digital)
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW)
• Solid understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and textile knowledge
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Creativity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Strong fashion illustration and technical drawing abilities (hand-drawn or digital)
• Skilled in pattern drafting and garment construction techniques
• Solid understanding of fabric properties, color theory, and textile sourcing
• Strong trend forecasting and market research skills
• Eye for detail, proportion, and fit
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with design, production, and marketing teams
