Farm Supervisor at J-Six Group

Job Summary

J-Six Group is seeking a dedicated and proactive Farm Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of its poultry farm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising farm attendants, ensuring proper management of poultry houses, monitoring bird health and productivity, maintaining accurate farm records, and supporting the overall efficiency of farm operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the poultry pen houses.
• Train, direct, and monitor the activities of pen attendants.
• Conduct routine inspections of pen houses, feed, birds, and farm facilities.
• Ensure proper feeding schedules, cleanliness of pen houses, and the overall wellbeing of the birds.
• Observe birds regularly and promptly report any signs of disease or infection.
• Report faulty equipment and maintenance needs to the Production Manager.
• Maintain accurate daily records of feed consumption, bird inventory, and egg production.
• Monitor farm productivity and advise management on the optimal time to sell birds.
• Evaluate staff performance and maintain discipline within the farm.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and biosecurity standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND/HND in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in poultry farming is mandatory.
• Previous supervisory or team management experience is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to supervise, delegate tasks, and ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
• High level of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail.

Remuneration

• Salary: N100,000 Monthly.
