As the Facility & Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of surface production facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This includes process flow assurance, equipment sizing, facility layout, and overall systems integration aligned with production targets and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the design, construction, and commissioning of downstream production facilities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and facility layouts.
Conduct process simulations and performance evaluations to optimise oil and gas separation, compression, dehydration, and treatment processes.
Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards (API, ISO) and regulatory requirements during project execution.
Provide technical input during FEED, detailed design, and execution phases of facility development.
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and other risk assessment activities to support operational integrity and safety.
Troubleshoot facility operational issues and recommend engineering solutions for performance improvement.
Liaise with vendors and contractors for equipment specification, procurement, and installation activities.
Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and technical presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor and control project costs and schedules to ensure alignment with budget and timelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng.) in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or any relevant Engineering field.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in oil & gas facility engineering
Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of surface production operations, including separation systems, gas processing, water handling, and flare systems.
Demonstrated understanding of Nigerian oil and gas regulatory standards, HSE practices, and project lifecycle.
Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Willingness to travel to field locations and work in a multidisciplinary, multicultural team.
