    Facility Officer

    Job Purpose

    • The Facility Officer is responsible for overseeing our facilities' efficient and effective operation, maintenance, and management.
    • This role ensures the facility environment's safety, security, and functionality while meeting the needs of employees, tenants, and visitors.

    Key Responsibilities
    Facility Maintenance and Operations:

    • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and systems (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
    • Coordinate and oversee repairs and maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
    • Manage contracts and relationships with vendors and service providers.
    • Oversees maintenance technicians like; electricians, plumbers, gardeners, etc.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.

    Safety and Security:

    • Implement and enforce security protocols and procedures.
    • Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security incidents as needed.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and drills.

    Environmental Management:

    • Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact (energy conservation, waste management, etc.).
    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

    Budget and Cost Management:

    • Assist in the preparation of the facility budget and manage expenses within budgetary constraints.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

    Customer Service:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related inquiries and issues.
    • Address resident/employee concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Proven experience in facility management or a related field.
    • Knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and health and safety regulations.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with residents.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software/tools is preferred.
    • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager) or equivalent experience.
