    Facility Manager

    JOB SUMMARY

    Developing and implementing a facility management programme that covers preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and life cycle requirements.Responsible for ensuring all physical infrastructure of the business is running as it should, as well as identifying areas for greater efficiency and cost-saving.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Oversee and coordinate the maintenance and repair activities of the facility which includes cleanliness, safety and functionality of the building, equipment, and systems.
    • Monitor and control of building systems such as HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), lighting, security, and fire protection systems, to ensure efficient operation and adherence to regulations.
    • Liaise with external vendors and service providers to coordinate maintenance and repair services. This includes obtaining and negotiating quotes and ensure timely and satisfactory completion of work.
    • Develop and manage the facility budget by tracking expenses, analyzing cost-saving opportunities, and making recommendations to optimize the use of financial resources.
    • Render weekly reports of facility management activities
    • Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly.
    • Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment.
    • Providing advice on energy efficiency and managing budgets and accounts
    • Negotiating contracts with service providers
    • Inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations.
    • Coordinating renovations and updates.
    • Allocating and managing facility space for maximum efficiency.

    JOB EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of HND/Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or Engineering.
    • Professional certification is an added advantage.
    • Proven 4-5 years’ minimum experience in facility management or a related field.
    • A strong understanding of facility management principles, practices, and industry standards.
    • Knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
    • Strong project management skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Good organization and time management skills.
    • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
    • Be able to pay attention to details.
    • Good team-working skills.
