    Facility Manager (Real Estate firm)

    Job Description

    • The ideal candidate must be well-grounded in facilities management best practices and have hands-on experience in the real estate industry.

    Key Responsibilities:                                                        

    • Oversees the operation and maintenance of the buildings and facilities.
    • Ensures that all necessary licenses and permits are acquired.
    • Negotiates contracts with vendors and maintains relationships.
    • Supervises overall operation and maintenance of buildings.
    • Estimates material and labor costs.
    • Plans and organizes the efficient and cost-effective layout of facilities.
    • Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and assist with energy management
    • Oversee security of buildings and grounds maintenance
    • Maintain ongoing communication with contractors, clients, and team.
    • Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained.
    • Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
    • Advising businesses on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Drafting reports and making written recommendations.
    • Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations as well as industry regulators.

    Requirements

    • HND/B.Sc from a recognized institution
    • 3+ years proven experience as a Facility Manager in a Real estate firm.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Strong knowledge of Facility Management best practices and maintenance culture.
    • Must possess technical leadership skill
    • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
    • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
