Facilities Officer at Westerfield College

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out basic maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
• Respond promptly to repair requests across the school and boarding areas.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential faults.
• Assist with setting up school facilities for events and activities.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of maintenance tools and areas.
• Suppon extemal contractors when major work is required.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience in general maintenance or building services.
• Hands-on skills in basic plumbing, electrical, or carpentry work.
• Ability to work independently and solve practical problems.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Experience in a school or residential facility setting.
• Vocational or technical certification in a relevant trade.
• Flexible and available for occasional emergency call-outs.
